Since 2016, the partnership between Eluminate Creative and Hunter Valley Gardens for the Christmas Lights Spectacular has been something special. What started as a festive event with a million lights has transformed into a dazzling display of over 4 million lights, becoming an annual tradition for many.


Eluminate’s collaboration with the Hunter Valley Gardens team in producing video content has been a lot of fun and among the content produced for their other events, the Christmas Lights Spectacular has been the flagship. From the early years, when Santa took centre stage as he guided the HVG team through the extensive event set-up, to the present day, showcasing the evolution of this massive event.

The campaigns developed by Eluminate Creative have not only showcased the growth of the event but have also adapted to highlight the expanding array of displays and attractions. The focus on creating engaging TV commercials and captivating social media content has played a pivotal role in drawing in audiences and building excitement year after year.

As we look back at the evolution of both the event and the campaigns we can celebrate the success of this collaboration. In recent years we have moved back to the roots of creating narrative-driven, heartfelt campaigns that remind us of the joy of Christmas, the importance of family and the thought that the Christmas Lights Spectacular is a generational experience.


With each passing year, it’s exciting to anticipate how this partnership will continue to illuminate the festive season for families and visitors alike, and as this body of work continues to grow, so does our pride in the work.


The team at eluminate have been working with Hunter Valley Gardens for 7 years and are an integral part in helping us prepare our event campaigns, these include Christmas Lights Spectacular, Snow Time in the Gardens, Mega Creatures and Mega Creatures Night Safari.
